The Marija and Mirjan Damaška Foundation has published the 2026 Call for Applications for the “Mirjan Damaška Award”.

The “Mirjan Damaška Award” is granted for an original, unpublished scholarly paper in the fields of:
• criminal law, criminal procedure and criminal law history
• comparative constitutional and procedural law
• international criminal law and international cooperation in criminal matters

The Award consists of a certificate, a plaque, and a monetary prize of EUR 4,000.

Both Croatian and foreign citizens are eligible to apply, including students, doctoral candidates, and retired professors.

The submission deadline is 31 August 2026.
