The Vice-President of the International Association of Penal Law, Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni took oath on February 15th, 2016 as a judge at the Interamerican Court of Human Rights at the official opening  of the Interamerican judicial year in San José, Costa Rica.

The three recipients of the Vespasian V. Pella medal

Im Jahr 1958 wurde Benjamin B. Ferencz, Ankläger in den Nürnberger Prozessen, mit der Vespasian V. Pella Medallie geehrt. Im Jahr 2000 wählte er Professor M. Cherif Bassiouni, Ehrenpräsident der AIDP, als Nachfolger aus. Zehn Jahre später übergab Professor Bassiouni diese Ehrung an Professor William Schabas. Alle drei Medaillenträger trafen sich diesen Februar in West Palm Beach, FL, USA.
