16th Specialization Course in International Criminal Law : « The International Criminal Responsibility of Non-State Actors »
Siracusa, Italy, May 29-June 8, 2016
ISISC will organize the 16th Specialization Course in International Criminal Law for Young Penalists on ‘The International Criminal Responsibility of Non-State Actors’ in Siracusa from May 29th until June 8th, 2016. The course will be sponsored by the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP - France), the University of Palermo Department of Law (Italy), the Irish Centre for Human Rights, National University of Ireland (Galway, Ireland), the Middlesex University Department of Law (London, UK), International Bar Association – IBA (London, UK) and the PlanetHood Foundation (White Plains, NY, USA).
ISISC will select 60 participants who should have at a minimum a first degree in law, having graduated in the last eight years (between 2008 - 2016), and be 35 years of age or under. The cost for the course is € 700 per person, which covers academic material, 1 opening lunch, 6 light lunches on course days and 1 closing dinner. Furthermore, the Institute will offer 10 scholarships to applicants from Developing and Less Developed Countries. The scholarships cover academic material, accommodation costs in a double room, 1 opening lunch, 6 light lunches on course days, 1 closing dinner, and ground transportation from/to Catania airport (travel costs and dinners are not included). Participants awarded scholarships will have to pay a contribution for the course of € 200.
