Réseau AIDP de Justice Pénale
It is a central objective of the strategic consideration of the AIDP for 2014-2019 to further operationalize the AIDP Network for Criminal Justice. The Network was set up in 2009 with the objective to enhance the scientific presence and impact of the AIDP in the different regions of the world. In line with the By Laws of the Association, the AIDP concludes worldwide partnership agreements with international and regional institutions for promoting the scientific objectives of the AIDP. Currently the Network has the following members:
- International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences, Siracusa (Italy). The AIDP-IAPL together with the ISISC have established the “Siracusa Prize".
- Instituto Brasileiro de Ciências Criminais, Sao Paulo (Brazil)
- Instituto de Derecho Penal Europeo e Internacional, Universidad de Castilla La Mancha (Ciudad Real, Spain)
- College for Criminal Law Science, Beijing Normal University (Beijing, China)
- Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy (IRCP), Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium)
- European Criminal Law Academic Network (Brussels, Belgium)
- Max-Planck Institut for foregin and international Criminal Law (Freiburg, Germany). The AIDP-IAPL together with the Max-Planck Institut for foregin and international Criminal Law (Freiburg, Germany) have established the Hans-Heinrich Prize
The platform offered by the Network serves for the exchange of ideas and the joint organisation of events (workshops, round tables, seminars). The Network works under the auspices of the Scientific Committee of the AIDP and is coordinated by one of its members. Currently, Prof. Michele Papa assumes the role of Network coordinator.
