Conclusion of the Tenth International AIDP Symposium for Young Penalists

The Tenth International AIDP Symposium for Young Penalists was held on 27-28 October 2022 at the Department of legal studies of the University of Bologna. Young researchers from more than 15 different countries discussed on current issues of criminal justice from the perspective of the protection of human rights.

Conference on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) at the University of Coimbra

On the 30th of June and 1st of July 2022, the Portuguese and the Spanish Groups of the AIDP held a Conference on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) at the University of Coimbra, a joint organisation supported by the Institute of Economic and European Criminal Law (www.fd.uc.pt/idpee/) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (www.uc.pt/en/fduc/). It was held in person but also streamed via Zoom, reaching a total audience of over 180 spectators.

10th International AIDP Symposium for Young Penalists

The Tenth International AIDP Symposium for Young Penalists will be held in person on the topic “Criminal Justice in the Prism of Human Rights”. It is organized by the Young Penalists of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP), in collaboration with the Department of legal studies of University of Bologna and the Italian Group of the AIDP. The Scientific Committee of the Symposium is composed by Luyuan Bai, Francesco Mazzacuva, Miren Odriozola Gurrutxaga, Nicola Recchia and Alessandra Santangelo.

Call for papers on ‘The energy transition and social acceptability’

An international colloquium on ‘The energy transition and social acceptability: challenges and opportunities in Europe and beyond’, organized by University Grenoble Alpes  in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, will take place on 17 November 2022, in English and French.

"Dr. José Luis Díez Ripollés" International Award

The University of Malaga, in collaboration with the Criminal Law Department and the Malaga Section of the Andalusian Inter-University Institute of Criminology, has announced the first edition of the "Dr. José Luis Díez Ripollés" International Award. The aim of this competition is promoting research development in Criminology, Law and Criminal Policy, disciplines on which Professor Díez-Ripollés has based his academic career.
